The studio

Studio for knowledge engineering & digital systems

We help projects, researchers, authors, teaching teams and organisations turn their knowledge, data and content into platforms, books, tools and applications that last.

Identity & positioning

Who we are, what we do

A studio that starts from knowledge and content, then builds coherent digital systems around them – not the other way around.

Who we are

A studio at the crossroads of human sciences, data design and development: we work with research corpora, learning content, announcements, catalogues and editorial collections.

What we do

  • Design of data models for corpora, catalogues, lexicons, announcements or learning content.
  • Platforms and business tools: portals, member spaces, editorial back-offices, specialised e-boutiques.
  • Scripts and pipelines to books, workbooks, printable resources and interactive content.
  • Preparation of technical foundations ready to feed other interfaces (APIs, mobile apps, internal or desktop tools).

What we care about

  • Systems that are extensible, documented and designed to last (not throwaway one-shots).
  • Strong respect for knowledge, languages, scripts and the contexts in which they exist.
  • Interfaces that truly serve their audiences: learners, researchers, teaching teams, families, communities.

How we work

A controlled pipeline: from raw material to systems and derivatives

Rather than multiplying isolated projects, we build a data foundation that will support your platforms, printed materials, learning derivatives and future applications.

  1. Map your content and data

We start from what you already have, or from what you want to produce: databases, files, field notes, course corpora, announcements, manuscripts, archives, business documentation. We clarify structures, uses, target formats and audiences.

  2. Design a model usable in the long term

We design reusable data schemas (corpora, records, announcements, learning content, lexicons, catalogues, etc.) and put them into manageable formats (MySQL/SQL, JSON, APIs, etc.). The goal: a stable, extensible and documented foundation.

  3. Build platforms and tools

We develop the main platform (portal, web application, internal tool, specialised e-boutique) and the necessary interfaces: content publishing, catalogue management, contributions, exports, user spaces, statistics.

  4. Derive books, workbooks, materials and apps

From the same data, we generate books and workbooks, exercise sheets and printable resources, interactive content, word games or quizzes, and prepare the ground for mobile or desktop apps centred on your knowledge.

Tech & tools

Tech in the service of content, not the other way round

We choose technologies based on your stakes: structuring, long-term durability, dissemination, derivation.

Platforms & interfaces

Nuxt, Node, PHP, Java or C++ depending on the needs, with particular attention to coherent user journeys: learning portals, lexicons, member areas, editorial back-offices and educational e-boutiques.

Data & models

MySQL/SQL, JSON formats, APIs and import/export scripts to structure, migrate and exploit your corpora, catalogues or archives without locking them into a single tool.

Derivatives & publishing

Pipelines to InDesign (JSX) and other publishing tools to produce books, workbooks, article collections, puzzles, crosswords, multilingual or audience-specific materials.

Collaborations

Who we work with

We support projects grounded in reality, at the crossroads of knowledge, pedagogy, culture and digital uses, in pan-African and international contexts.

Projects & initiatives

Project leaders, collectives, associations and initiatives who want to structure and disseminate their knowledge, practices or memories beyond a simple showcase site.

Research & fieldwork

Researchers, labs, anthropologists, linguists and field teams working with corpora, archives, recordings, notes, announcements or existing databases.

Publishing & pedagogy

Authors, publishing houses, schools and training actors who want to link platforms, books, workbooks, exercise sheets, digital content and printed materials.

Organisations & professions

SMEs, cultural organisations, NGOs and pan-African or international bodies that need tailor-made tools for their communities and professions.
